Today is also the 400th anniversary of the death of my favorite English monarch, Elizabeth I. We still think of you, Good Queen Bess. Godspeed.
Somewhat related to both of the above items, is from my version of the Great American Novel, which if it goes how these things normally go, will never see completion. It has undergone somewhat of a metamorphosis over the last couple years, due to events both personal and public. In any case, I submit a short speech from the beginning it, written a couple months ago...

That is not meant to be any special sort of commentary on real-world figures, it's just taking inspiration from them.
And so, we are at war. (Not literally, since there is no such declaration, but close enough to kill soldiers.) I pray that it ends well, for I don't see the path there without a healthy dose of the divine.

- J. Michael Straczynski (of Babylon 5 fame) has been writing the "Amazing Spider-Man" comic for the last couple years now. He wrote an issue a year ago related to the September 11 attacks, and he just released the text to be posted wherever we like - I have put it here.

We are watching those who would destroy what the United States stands for; I dislike the fact that some of those are natural born US citizens, that we trusted to some extent as recently as over a year ago. I hope and pray they do not succeeed.

- I have updated my Living Force stat generator to handle the newly-allowed races out of Alien Anthology and Secrets of Tatooine.
I've also updated my Living City Stat Generator to include the non-legal races in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide.

- I have noticed a big hole in my RPGA Living Campaign info sheets, and have added the history record and tournament record for Living Force.

- In a violent (and embarassing) accident involving a rubber band, two jars of mayonnaise, a quantum flux capacitor, nineteen maps of Rhode Island, and a fully licensed CD copy of Barenaked Ladies' "Stunt", the page counters for this site were damaged beyond repair.

They have been reset.
